I started making cards at home a few years ago for my personal use to send to family and friends. I now look back at the first cards I made and think 'OH dear' , but believe me those who received the cards thought they were great - because they were made by hand and this meant more to them as they knew the work that had gone into the creation. Of course I have made great improvements and found that other people were interested in having cards made by me. I have now been encouraged to put this page together to display some of my work. I also have another page on Aromatherapy. My sister and I make the Aromatherapy products ourselves, using only the best Essential oils and other natural ingredients. We usually get together during the summer to make our products to sell at a Christmas School Fayre. Last year we did well and took orders for further purchases. I will of course add my cards this year as I now feel ready to show them to wider market.

It is of course very hard to show the real beauty of these cards from photos, but how else are you going to get an idea of what I do. To get an idea of how a Decoupage card looks I have added a graphic before making it into a card. See how the images, although nice on there own, come to life when made into a 3D Decoupage card.

Personalised Cards

Have you ever gone to buy a card for a niece/nephew or even just a good friend and thought " That's nice, but the words are too slushy" or maybe a card for a teenager to find the usual 'teenager' cards with skateboards or stereos on the front.

Why not have a personalised card made - you can have the recipient's name, star sign or maybe their favourite pop star/hero (if available) on the front.

Maybe you have a personal in-joke with someone close to you - why not have that 'joke' put in a card just for them.

I do have a great sense of humour and can also make funny cards or maybe even something a little more risqué.

You may have an unusual name that is hard to find anywhere - no problem. I can put any name on any card, that's the whole idea of having a personalised card made.

Decoupage Cards

Now Decoupage cards are that little bit special as they are all hand cut by myself - Suzanne - and they take at least half an hour to complete each card.

Decoupage are like 3D images that 'stand out' from the card. I take great care when cutting the images as I like to ensure all the details are shown and the image is 'brought to life' so to speak. This is why each card takes me at least 30 minutes to complete

I usually make one of each card and take orders for further copies - but as the 'original' is not available for me to use the new card is a little different from the first, this also makes the cards more unique. I am always on the lookout for new images as I like to cover as many variations as possible - it also stops me getting bored making the same designs.

These cards are all made by myself and are not mass produced, therefore there are not many of the same design. So whether the card is for a new baby, a child, a teenager or any member of the family or even your good friend, you can be sure each card made will be to a high standard and made personally just for you.
