Book Folding takes many forms that have grown in popularity over the last few years. However, book folding was around in this country many years ago when churches made angels from old hymn books – Hymnal Angels.

This Christmas workshop is light hearted, fun and aimed to give a taster of the basic skills needed to produce this popular art. Ideal to give as a gift or a bespoke item for the home.

In this class you will learn how to choose an appropriate book, prepare it and apply folds to the pages. In this workshop you will learn how to make a cracker design table/mantel decoration. Once finished you be able to decorate your piece with ribbon and buttons before taking home with you.

Everything is provided for you to learn some basic folds to create a Christmas decoration. A selection of books and patterns will be available for you to complete your project and if you wish to continue at home kits are available to buy on the day.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced book folding artist.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day. Alternatively, the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious drinks and food at reasonable prices.

The coursel cost includes all materials, use of tools and teas / coffees throughout the day.
