Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and we hope the feeling of going home with a desire to learn more.

This one day course aims to give a taster of the basic skills needed to create a posing, seated figure from scratch.

For the first part of the workshop Jackie will provide an overview of the basic structure of your figure, looking at body proportions and how subtle changes to facial features create different characteristics and you will then begin to construct your textile person

After your break for a spot of lunch, the afternoon session will be focussed on discussing clothing options and body poses and suggested ideas for ways that they could be developed further.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced mixed media artist.   

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch to the workshop or alternatively the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food at reasonable prices. Just let us know your preference at the time of booking

The course will cost £ 75.00 to include all materials, use of tools and teas / coffees throughout the day.

Please note that this is a hand stitching workshop so you will need to be comfortable with running and back stitching- but you don’t need to be neat!
