Debbie is a Level 3 certified Powertex tutor, who will introduce you to the delights of Powertex.
Powertex is a water based, environmentally friendly textile hardener and universal medium used for creating sculptures, decorative objects and mixed media art. It is versatile and can also be used as a paint or glue or mixed with Stone Art or 3D flex used to create clay or texture for your project. After 3 weeks the Powertex will be cured so your figure will be weatherproof.
Each participant starts with the same products but you’re guaranteed to create something unique to you, no two pieces are the same and you choose the colours
Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet space for creativity. No experience necessary. Tuition, guidance and advice will be provided as you go through each stage of the process during this half day workshop. We will start with a small bottle, create the shape we want and then the fun begins as we coat the fabric with Powertex whilst starting to create ripples and texture on our base. When your piece is touch dry the magic of colour will be applied using a dry brushing technique, this is when your piece develops and becomes a thing of beauty.
