Blue Hare Glass - Claire Walsh

Claire Walsh, the silversmith behind Blue Hare Jewellery, finally found her artistic niche in 2020 after being gifted a “ring in a day” workshop experience by her mother-in-law.



Making jewellery has been her passion ever since – so much so that she transitioned from a 30-year career in the NHS to full-time jeweller in 2023.

Drawing great inspiration from nature, Claire makes her jewellery using traditional metalsmithing techniques.

With its gentle curves and soft textures, Claire’s work is organic, contemporary and expressive. She mainly works in silver, adding gold elements, gemstones and enamel. As she creates each item by hand, no two pieces are ever the same – something Claire cherishes.

In keeping with her love of the natural world, Claire is mindful of her impact on the planet. She uses only 100% recycled silver, 100% recycled (and recyclable) packaging and relies on small, independent suppliers wherever she can
