Watercolour Painting

with Bill Lupton

1 Day Workshop (10:00am - 4:00pm)

£50.00 to include materials

Bill Lupton is an experienced artist and tutor, specialising in watercolour landscapes. He is a professional member of the Society of All Artists (SAA), Chairman of a local Art Group and enjoys passing on his painting skills to students at regular art classes and painting holidays.

In addition to this he frequently does painting demonstrations and workshops for art groups and societies in and around the UK, and has had his work published in the Society of All Artists magazine on a number of occasions.

Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and this class is specifically tailored to suit a range of different abilities with beginners being very welcome.

During the day you will complete 2 completely different paintings with step-by-step guidance and tuition. Bill will demonstrate each stage as you progress, and offer one-to-one guidance where appropriate. There will be a few useful hints and tips that will help you create your own masterpiece.

Bill enjoys painting atmospheric landscapes, often using rich colours and a wide tonal range to create memorable scenes that are in many private collections around the world. He believes that emotion in a painting is very important, and is passionate about creating art with feeling. You can see examples of his work on his website www.thepaintings.co.uk
Dramatic skies, convincing water, wild winter trees, undulating grass, and rugged mountains and isolated cottages are some of his favourite subjects often covered on these workshops.
Please note that none of these painting days are the same, so if you've attended one of Bills classes here before and enjoyed yourself, why not come again and enjoy painting different scenes.
